Raleigh, NC Roadtrip 2012 - Day 6

The day started off with a full complimentary breakfast at the hotel. Scrambled eggs, corned beef and hash, grits, and fresh blueberry muffins were just some of the items on plate. Fully stuffed with a healthy breakfast, the Maeder clan decided to hit up the pool! We spent a good majority of the morning at the poolside soaking up some MORE vitamin D and lapping the pool several times.

After relaxing by the poolside, we made our way into room 207 for a quick lunch. We also were able to catch up on a few episodes of Tom & Jerry and the Roadrunner LOL! Around 2:00 everyone decided to take a small nap before the night’s festivities. When I said a small nap…I meant a SMALL nap…it was only like 30-45mins. By 3:00 it was time to get ready for the wedding. While Becca was in the shower, I was out in the room ironing my clothes…that’s right…I actually ironed my clothes LOL!

The main dish!
All dressed and ready to party, we were on our way to the wedding location. On the way to the wedding we somehow missed a turn… BUT…it only took us 10 minutes out of our way…so not that bad.

The wedding was held at a farmstead and it was an outside ceremony. Everything (the reception, dance, and ceremony) were held at the farmstead so it was fairly convenient. The weather was perfect…sunny, warm, and not a cloud in the sky. Perfect wedding weather for a perfect wedding! The wedding itself was well done and everything flowed smoothly! I will say…I can also add a few items to my book of firsts. Number one…this wedding my FIRST outside wedding. Number two…I finally got to see my FIRST whole hog roast!
